Capita Managed IT Solutions and Smartschools agree strategic partnership to deliver innovative ICT services to schools
Capita Managed IT Solutions and Smartschools have today announced they have formed a strategic partnership to provide schools and colleges in Ireland with innovative ICT services and solutions.
The partnership brings together both company’s specialist skills and experience to support teaching and learning through the use of technology.
Smartschools is recognised as a leading ICT service and hardware provider to schools and colleges nationwide while Capita has a wealth of experience in the education sector across the UK, delivering ICT services and support to more than 6,600 schools, academies and colleges as well as 500,000 teachers and students. It also has vast experience in delivering area wide ICT services to academy trusts and local authorities, including a managed private cloud service, the first of its kind in Europe, for over 1,100 schools in Northern Ireland.
Together, this partnership will enable them to bring a wider portfolio of ICT services, capabilities, expertise and resources to schools in Ireland. With the Irish government committed to spending €300 million on the upgrade and implementation of IT in schools through its Digital Strategy for Schools 2015-2020, Capita Managed IT Solutions and Smartschools together will be well placed to support schools with their ICT strategy and vision.

Together we can bring a wider portfolio of innovative ICT services and solutions, skills and resources to Smartschools’ existing customers as well as the education market as a whole in Ireland.”
