We deliver inspectorate and quality assurance services to state bodies in two of Ireland’s most strategically important industries – food safety and tourism.
We are certified by the Irish National Accreditation Body (INAB) to ISO 17020:2012 standard, giving us the authority to undertake audits across multiple sectors.
Our inspectorate and quality assurance division was set up in 2006 to provide an independent farm audit service for the food quality assurance scheme of a leading food safety body. The scheme has grown rapidly since 2006 and we now administer the country’s largest auditing programme with our team of auditors conducting nearly 25,000 farm inspections per annum.
Additionally, we manage a nationwide team of field assessors for Fáilte Ireland, assessing and managing applications and renewals from hospitality establishments for the industry’s quality framework and welcome standard. We currently inspect 2,500 premises per annum.
All our inspectorate services are complemented by centralised support functions which provide multi-channel customer service and query management, appointment arrangement and quality assurance reviews.
We focus heavily on governance and quality, ensuring that the consequences of non-compliance with requisite standards and the importance of codes of ethics and accreditation are clear and visible to all stakeholders.
We hold our own personnel to the same exacting standards as the industries we monitor. Our inspectors are only recruited following an intensive process designed to validate that they have the necessary attributes and temperament for such challenging positions. Once on-boarded they are subject to rigorous KPI monitoring and we arrange ongoing training from third party experts in their relevant discipline.
We are proud of our work in this sector and of the positive contribution we have made to public confidence in two industries which are of such importance to the Irish economy.
